Al Jazeera’s website traffic to Russia reaches 1 million
Russian authorities say their internet service provider has been hit with a cyber attack, a security source has told Al Jazeera.
Al Jazeera has confirmed the attack, which targeted Al Jazeera and several other sites, on Thursday, and is investigating the matter.
The site’s administrators are responding with a series of measures to prevent further disruption.
The source said the attack was part of an offensive that targeted Russian services and its users.
“We are seeing a lot of traffic coming from the Middle East, and from other parts of the world, which is very worrisome,” the source told Aljaouadi.
“These people are going to attack Al Jazeera.”
The site has been offline since the weekend.
Aljao.ru, a leading Russian news source, said in a statement on Friday that it had been hit by a malware attack that targeted its internal networks.
“It seems the attacks originated from an external source,” the statement said.
“The source is not clear.”
The statement did not identify the source of the attack.
The news site said the malware attack was detected on Thursday.
“All Al Jazeera websites have been attacked,” the news site wrote on its Facebook page on Friday.
“Some are currently down, some are still up.
Al-Jazeera is a major news source in Russia, and we will be updating our website in the coming days.” “
This is a cyber-attack, but the impact on the news, business, and social media sites is minimal.
Al-Jazeera is a major news source in Russia, and we will be updating our website in the coming days.”
A spokesperson for the Russian foreign ministry did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
The Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs did not respond to Al Jazeera requests for comment on Thursday evening.
Aljazeera has been under attack by the Kremlin in recent years, with the news network losing its US-funded funding in 2015, after the Russian government refused to release the US State Department cables that it said had revealed the Kremlin’s ties to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The US media outlet has also been under Russian attack for reporting on the ongoing investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 US presidential election.
Al Jazeera is an independent news outlet that focuses on covering news, investigations, foreign affairs, international relations and other issues.
The Al Jazeera brand is owned by Qatar’s state-owned media company.
The Kremlin has repeatedly denied allegations of interference in US politics, and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said last year that the US media was being manipulated.
“They are trying to control everything and we are defending ourselves,” Lavrov said at the time.
“What they are doing is trying to take away our rights.
They are trying for the world’s worst crimes.
They have no rights to attack us.”
