Woman accused of sexual harassment by men in online dating site draws rebuke from other women
A woman accused of sexually harassing a man on a dating website has been banned from using the site after the man threatened to expose her breasts to her, The Jerusalem Press reported.
The woman, whose identity was withheld for security reasons, was working as a receptionist at a local dating website for women, according to the Press, which reported on Monday that the man had told her she should be careful around other women because she was “so sexy.”
The man accused the woman of harassment on Instagram.
The woman has been suspended from her job and has been ordered to complete 20 hours of community service.
Her boss told her that the company would be paying for her to undergo counseling.
Her employer did not respond to a request for comment.
On Monday, the woman, who is a resident of the southern West Bank city of Ramallah, posted on Instagram that she was waiting for a man who was supposed to pick her up from work in the area to meet her.
She told him that she needed to talk to him to make sure he was alright.
She said that she then left her car parked and told the man to meet with her.
The man told the woman to wait outside her house, she said, but that when she got there, he had grabbed her from behind and was kissing her.
The man allegedly then raped her.
She said that the incident took place while the man was waiting outside her door.
The women was able to run to her home but was unable to call the police because she did not have a cellphone, she wrote on Instagram, which has since been deleted.
“I do not want to be alone and afraid,” she wrote.
“I do have a camera, so if you want to take a picture, please take it.
I do not mind if you show it to my friends.”
The woman is currently staying with friends and was unable in a telephone interview to comment on the case.
The Facebook page of the woman has since disappeared.
The incident has sparked a social media campaign calling for more women to report sexual harassment.
The Facebook page for a woman who claimed to have been raped by a stranger in Ramallah has now been taken down, according the Post.
The site is a popular dating platform for women who want to meet men, and offers a number of services for women seeking to meet or marry.
The women’s group, Women Against Sexual Harassment, called on the city of Bethlehem to take action to protect the women who were threatened.
The group said it will continue to call for change in the city.
The Post was unable on Monday to confirm the location of the site, but local media reports that it is in Bethlehem.
